Seasonal Self-Care Workshop

With Senior Yoga Teacher Maura Barber-Oosterhuis

Winter: Wednesday 8th January 2025 5-8pm

Seasonal Self-Care Workshop

Just as the Earth undergoes cyclic transformations through the ever-changing seasons, so do we. When we acknowledge these subtle shifts, and align our routines with nature’s cycles, we will deepen our connection not only with the natural world but also with ourselves and our own rhythms of life.

We look forward to welcoming you at Wasing Estate to celebrate the cycles of nature, explore seasonal self-care practices, embrace change, and share our journey of personal growth and transformation.

This workshop features an introduction to seasonal self-care, a gently flowing yoga practice (including somatic movements and breath work), use of essential oils and self-massage, time to journal, reflect and set intentions, a silent woodland walk and hilltop meditation, and a luxuriously long relaxation. All seasonally aligned. Herbal teas and wholesome treats are also included, as well as your take-home seasonal self-care notes and reflections.

Your host:

Senior Yoga Teacher Maura Barber-Oosterhuis

Maura’s love of yoga is infectious. Her guidance is 'soulful and seasonal' and focuses on deepening breath, body and self-awareness. Committed to offering a heartfelt experience she will encourage you to reach further by breathing fully and feeling deeply. Her 20 years of yoga experience range from the dynamic Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga to the gentler Yin and Restorative Yoga. With a keen interest in mindfulness and meditation Maura's unique style is infused with these. She feels hugely inspired by the teachings of Ayurveda and loves sprinkling her offerings with little gems of Ayurvedic wisdom. Always taught from the heart, Maura’s gently flowing yoga is a compassionate blend of deep breathing and mindful moving.

"I love celebrating the seasons. Recognising and honouring the changes in nature always encourage me to adjust my own rhythms accordingly. Moving with the energy of the Earth feels beneficial on many levels and definitely helps my day-to-day life flow with more ease. Honouring the seasons with like-minded people is always a powerful experience, it would be lovely to have you with us!" - Maura (Tranquil Flow Yoga)
